ECHO OF TIME

Inspired by the intangible and expandable qualities of the temporal, Mr Nakanishi and Mr Richter have each created a piece that come together in an encounter that explores the fundamental properties of time suspended – the very basis for La Prairie’s Platinum Moment.

A sculptural, immersive piece by Nobuhiro Nakanishi, Echo of Time is a “layer drawing” featuring a series of photographs taken sequentially of Swiss Alps peaks at twilight. One can see the passage of time as a whole, as well as pinpoint each individual moment of its progression.

The buoyant, epic score of Max Richter composed exclusively for La Prairie accompanies Mr Nakanishi's piece, creating an immersive experience that transports the viewer on a journey through time. Two interpretations of time suspended come together to create The Platinum Moment.

The intimate installation is on display at West Bund Art and Design Shanghai in November 2020
