As a State-funded public institution, ECAL, Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne has long risen to this challenge with excellence, placing it among today’s world-leading universities of art and design.
With a Foundation year, six Bachelor programmes, five Masters and two MAS, on premises of 18,000 square-metre featuring state-of-the-art technology (including a new printing center since end of 2016), a joint lab with EPFL and a 500 square-metre gallery, ECAL offers its 600 students from 40 different countries the best conditions to develop their full potential and truly express their creativity.
In 2021, Swiss Luxury house La Prairie joins forces with ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne and proudly contributes to nourishing the next generation of artists and designers. The result is a combination of sculptural, kinetic, interactive and time-infused works that express diverse and creative interpretations of Swiss aesthetics.
Gal Bulka from Israel, Paula Chacartegui from Spain, Chia-Ling Chang from Taiwan, Apolline Morel-Lab from France, Fernando Rivero from Mexico, and Charlotte Therre from Switzerland distinguished themselves as part of this collaboration with La Prairie.
